Jackson County GIS Department
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department for Jackson County is responsible for managing the
mapping needs of the county, and the distribution of the map products, both hardcopy and digital, to other
county departments, cities, state and federal agencies, and the citizens of Jackson County.
The Department manages spatial data for many departments including: Assessment, Public Works, Parks,
Collections, and others. Some of the layers maintained include Parcel Boundaries, City Limits, School
Districts, Street centerlines, Addresses, Elevation data, and Aerial photography.
This site will assist you in interacting with the department by providing important information in several
key areas, including plat processing, addressing, and hardcopy map purchases. This will also soon be the portal to the County’s new interactive mapping system.
There is also information about what GIS is and links to other GIS information.
Please contact us if there is other information that you need.
